Having shown Bearded Collies with
some success since 1972, making up a home bred Champion
dog, two individual CC winning bitches, and exporting
several overseas whom gained their titles, I decided
in 1989/90 to look for a smaller breed. I had seen
a Lowchen bitch in 1975 at a local Open Show &
being unable to afford the price of a puppy at that
time, I now decided to try and find a bitch puppy
to show. Unable to find a suitable puppy, my first
Lowchen came as a two year old, namely Duncara U Mind
a Morning Song. Symphony did a little winning in the
show ring, but proved her worth as a brood bitch.
Mated to Ch. Tethall Damson Design she produced 4
bitch puppies & 2 dog puppies in her first litter.
Annie was kept and went on to become my first home
bred Lowchen Champion, in total she won 3 CC's and
3 Res CC's.
Trying to get puppies from Annie was,
at first, quite difficult, so Sally Gibbons let Tethall
Fantom Forester come to live with us as an 8 week
old puppy on a "see how he turns out" basis.
Teddy exceded all our expectations and took his first
C.C. with BOB at Leeds Ch. Show at the age of 6 1/2
months of age. He soon gained his title, taking his
third C.C. at the Club Ch. Show with a record entry
of 82 Lowchen.
Although mated several times, Annie
seemed unable to produce bitch puppies, she did ,however,
produce very good dog puppies. Mated to Pridesden
Papparazzi she produced 4 black & gold dogs, Bobby
stood out from day one and went on to become Ch. Banacek
Call It The Blues.
